Proto Energy and OLA Energy have partnered to increase automotive LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) access in Kenya to reduce diesel and petrol use. This comes amid rising demand as the number of cars operating on LPG increases. Women and young people are increasingly relying on ride-hailing platforms for safer movement after dark. This is according to an Ipsos Ride-Hailing Safety Index Survey (2025).
