The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chief Executive Officer, Marjan Hussein Marjan, has resigned after nearly three years in office.
The electoral agency’s Chair Erastus Ethekon says the decision was reached after a mutual agreement to terminate his services.
“As the current CEO/CS exits, we embark on critical reforms within the Secretariat,” Ethekon says.
The commission says it will announce an interim replacement as the official recruitment process takes place.
Marjan was officially appointed to the position in March 2022 and has held senior positions in the commission for over a decade.
His term was to officially end in March 2027
